EDI is a mandatory method of communication and data exchange for all suppliers to Visteon plants using CMMS3.
It is the exchange of documents in standardized electronic form, between organizations, in an automated manner, directly from a computer application in one organization to a computer application in another. Suppliers must use it for receiving planning/ shipping schedule releases/ receipt advises, and for sending Advance Shipping Notifications (ASNs) to Visteon.
