Report Card Help - Reportcard Terminology

Commodity Code:

Each part number is assigned a specific code. If no commodity code is specified at source, the part is assigned to ‘unknown commodity’ code UNKN. 

PPAP Levels:

Level 1 - Warrant only (and for designated appearance items, an Appearance Approval Report) submitted to the customer.
Level 2 - Warrant with product samples and limited supporting data submitted to the customer.
Level 3 - Warrant with product samples and complete supporting data submitted to the customer.
Level 4 - Warrant and other requirements as defined by the customer.
Level 5 - Warrant with product samples and complete supporting data reviewed at the supplier's manufacturing location.
Level 1 triggers automatic PSW approval in EASI.
Level 4 is the default level.

PPM :

Parts Per Million - measures the number of defective parts per million received
PPM formula : ((Qty Parts Rejected + Qty Parts Reworked)/Parts Received) * 1,000,000
Qty Parts Rejected : The number of parts returned and scrapped for QR codes of FF, MN and NP.
Qty Parts Reworked : The number of parts reworked at the plant and entered into Visteon's Quality Reject system for QR codes of FF, MN and NP.
Parts Received : The quantity of parts received at the Visteon Plant.

Quality Reject (QR) :

Report detailing supplier part quality issue – a quality reject

Quality Reject Codes & Types :

FF – Fit or Function
MN – Miscellaneous Non-Conformance
NP – Not to Print
SI – Supplier Issue (non PPM , example labelling)
PR – Prototype Reject (prior to PSW)
FF – Fit or Function
DR – Design Related (Visteon responsible for part design)
FF – Fit or Function
PP – Plant Process – reject caused by Visteon process

PPM Quality Rejects :
Codes FF, MN and NP contribute to PPM

Non PPM Quality Rejects :
Codes SI, PR, TR, DR and PP do not contribute to PPM

Concerns :
All Quality Rejects with zero parts defective + Rescinded QRs

Quality Reject Severity :

H – High: Warranty, line stops, issues affecting Visteon customers
M – Medium: Issues causing production disruption at Visteon
L – Low: Issues which caused no production disruptions at Visteon

Quality Reject Codes & Types :

R - 3rd Party Registered.
S - Self Verified/Approved.
O - Registration in Process - Registrar Found Open Issues
P - Registration in Process - Registrar to be Scheduled.
F - Failed Registration Audit.
N - No action taken by supplier to date.

SQE :

Significant Quality Event
Standard SQE – minus 10 points for 3 months duration
Major SQE – minus 50 points for 6 months duration

Supplier Status: :

Active - Location involved in the production or as ship point of production parts to Visteon.
Inactive - location not involved in the production or as ship point of production parts to Visteon.
Production – Manufacture location for Visteon parts or in special cases (example fastener consolidators or semiconductor suppliers) in Visteon eyes is the location responsible for manufacturing and all quality aspects of Visteon parts.
Non production – Location not involved in the manufacture of parts, for example warehouse used as ship point to Visteon.
Blank - Unidentified location.
